Alaska Inside Passage Cruises

Explore the remote beauty of Alaska’s Inside Passage away from the crowds on a small ship cruise.

Discovery’s scenic wildlife cruises of Alaska’s Inside Passage offer a perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. With a focus on sightseeing and wildlife viewing our small boat cruises are very opportunistic in nature. Days are spent cruising and sightseeing, watching whales & other marine life, fishing, hiking, kayaking, beachcombing and bear viewing. In the late afternoon/evening we typically anchor in a secluded cove or tie up dockside at a small Alaskan community (if desired). Our cruises have no set schedule so that we can make the most of unexpected wildlife encounters that are often the highlight of these trips.

8 Days (7 Nights)

4 Routes to Choose From (Itineraries operate in reverse)

For those who would like a more detailed description of what to expect from our Alaska Inside Passage small ship cruises a Sample Itinerary for each of the routes below is provided.

Please keep in mind: While cruises follow the general route described no two trips are ever the same …….. wildlife encounters, weather and tides often determine how our time is spent on any given day. This spontaneity is one of the joys of small ship cruising and offers a wonderful variety for our return guests.

“Which is the best route”? In our opinion all of the routes are equally ‘good’. More miles does not necessarily make a better trip and on cruises that do not include a visit (& detour) to a Bear Observatory we have more time to explore different bays and will hike and look for bears elsewhere.

Even better than a Sample Itinerary the Alaska Cruise Activities give a good indication of what we do and hope to show our guests on all Alaska Inside Passage Cruises.
